In 1990, Citizens Democracy Corps was formed by executive order of the President of the United States to fortify the economic foundation of a free society in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Between then and now, our organization has been known by a few different names — Citizens Development Corps, CDC Development Solutions, CDS, and now, PYXERA Global. Our organization has grown to include new signature initiatives such as MBA Enterprise Corps, MBAs Without Borders, the Center for Citizen Diplomacy, and The New Global Citizen magazine.
Over the past 25 years, PYXERA Global has strengthened its commitment to purposeful global engagement that enriches lives and livelihoods worldwide, inclusively and sustainably. Throughout our history, we have been proud and humbled to work with a diverse range of partners who have each brought tremendous talent to our collaboration. We’ve worked with thousands of people in more than 90 countries around the world, partnering with leaders from the public, private, and social sectors to design and implement solutions addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges.
WE ARE PROUD TO LAUNCH BORDERLESS: A GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT COMMUNITY.
The Borderless community is a place for all of the talented and dedicated individuals who we have worked with over the years to convene, share lessons learned from their experiences, and together explore a new era of collaboration. Have you been a part of our work? Check out this blog post about all of the people who have made our organization’s impact possible over the past 25 years.
We see the world differently; we know you do, too. Here are five ways you can join us on the new frontier of global engagement.
Join the community

Tell us your personal story of impact
We have 25 years of incredibly meaningful results because of the work we’ve done with our talented and dedicated partners around the world. Tell us a little more about when and where you engaged globally and what impact your project had.
Help craft the Principles of Purposeful Global Engagement
Later this year we will introduce the Principles of Global Engagement; a framework for leveraging the unique strengths of corporations, governments, social sector organizations, educational institutions, and individuals to enhance the abilities of people and communities to solve complex problems and attain mutually beneficial goals. We are speaking with leaders across sectors and reflecting on the lessons we’ve learned from our own experiences to craft a set of principles that can help guide a new generation of international affairs. Tell us what you think purposeful global engagement should look like.
