Job Description

The Coordinator provides Impact and Learning guidance and support for internal program teams to develop and implement impact and learning systems for client portfolios. As a member of a cross-functional department, the Coordinator will work across a variety of client portfolios covering a wide-range of project types, sectors, and geographies, and must be able to quickly get up to speed on new subject matter areas.

Working closely with the I&L Senior Manager, the Coordinator will have the opportunity to build their social impact evaluation and project management skills through exposure to and management of a variety of impact evaluation activities. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the Coordinator will also support department administration tasks (knowledge management, resource development), training staff on I&L skills, and other internal department initiatives. The Coordinator may assist in the Senior Manager in business development and thought leadership initiatives as needed.

The I&L team is small and must be responsive to program teams and client needs. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality impact and learning support independently with a close attention to detail. Priority skills include: the ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbally and in writing), an innovative mindset, detail-orientation, and time management, all combined with high sense of flexibility.

This role is open to both remote US-based candidates and candidates in the DC area.

Requirements

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required
  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, economic development, monitoring and evaluation, data science, or related fields
  • 1-2 years of professional experience, including at least 6 months of experience/relevant coursework in monitoring and evaluation, social impact assessment, and/or quantitative/qualitative research methods and analysis
  • Knowledge of Qualtrics (or similar survey platform)
  • Ability to conduct basic data cleaning/analysis in Excel
  • Experience developing effective, accurate, and compelling data visualizations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a virtual environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet program/client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage diverse activities, meet competing deadlines, and have flexibility in changing situations

Desirable

  • Proficiency in a language other than English (preferably Spanish or Portuguese)
  • Experience in training and capacity building
  • Experience with SPSS, R, Stata, or similar statistical packages
  • Experience with NVivo, Dedoose, or similar qualitative analysis software
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in a cross-cultural/international context
