The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation of PYXERA Global’s GPB practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Implement and manage Global Pro Bono programs, including oversight of travel arrangements and logistical support, engagement and selection of local partner organization, detailed scope of work development, virtual pre-work facilitation, on-site team facilitation, travel to project sites, project preparation and implementation, and impact reporting;
Support senior staff in managing client relationships both globally and locally and potentially manage up to one client relationship;
Potentially lead weekly/bi-weekly check-ins with a client and program coordinating team to align on project status, operations, logistics, strategy, and continual program improvements;
Update PYXERA Global GPB Management team with client’s updates, needs and/or issues, and business development opportunities;
Potentially, cultivate business opportunities with a new or existing client by developing strategies and program models that are responsive to corporate and societal needs;
Review and prepare work plans, required reports (program and financial), and key correspondence sent to clients/donors;
Coordinate with senior staff on project design and practice area initiatives;
Support and lead client-facing communication on project status, operations, logistics, strategy, and continual program improvements.
As applicable, manage operations across a client portfolio, including management of templates and documents, documentation of processes and process flows, tracking of individual project progress, and communication of specific client policies to staff.
Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues;
Ensure financial and reporting compliance, including development and review of budgets with global and DC-office staff;
Manage projects so that they are on time, on budget, and meet stakeholder needs and deliverable targets;
Oversee project logistics, including procurements participant travel arrangements in collaboration with Program Coordinators;
Review relevant accounting forms, prepare budgets, and monitor financial reports;
Lead program, project, and practice area process and service improvements;
Review project participant and local partner organization survey data and write client-facing reports;
Support department onboarding by training staff on client-specific processes;
Manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision, ensuring on time deliverables that meet internal and external stakeholder needs;
Manage staff members, as needed.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum of 8-10 years of experience.
Experience working with cross-cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteering programs.
Exceptional customer service, facilitation, and program/project management skills.
Ability to manage the entire project lifecycle and adjust approaches as needed.
Relevant international work experience.
Swift ability to learn policies, processes, and standard operating procedures.
Demonstrated initiative, innovation, problem solving skills, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to meet project and client needs.
Team player with experience managing and mentoring staff.
Strong experience in public speaking and meeting/event facilitation.
Ability to create and foster partnerships among a variety of stakeholders in the public, private, and social sectors.
Experience in training and onboarding both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to multi-task and keep a positive outlook in the face of challenges.
Experience in impact measurement (Qualtrics), Salesforce, and SharePoint highly desired
Knowledge of one or more critical topics in global development (i.e. global health, IT, skills gap, women’s empowerment, climate, etc.) and demonstrated commitment to improving livelihoods.
Strong writing and organizational skills, attention to detail.
Able to travel internationally and domestically up to 30% of the time.
Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus.
