PepsiCorps teams offer pro bono consulting services to local governments, social enterprises, and non-profit organizations in areas aligned with the PepsiCo Global Citizenship Vision, which is to encourage healthy lifestyles, improve availability of affordable nutrition, provide access to clean water, enhance sustainable agriculture capability, enable job readiness, empower women and girls, provide immediate relief, and rebuild communities. On assignment, PepsiCorps participants become more creative, adaptable and flexible leaders, returning home with deeper understanding of the connections between business and social needs combined with a renewed commitment to PwP.

PepsiCorps’ 2011 inaugural team worked with community and business leaders as well as government organizations on how communities in the Volta Region of Ghana can expand access to clean water, promote ecotourism to boost the local economy, and improve hygiene behaviors of school children. In 2012, the program expanded two-fold with new programs in Rajasthan, India and Albuquerque, U.S. that focused on clean water and sustainable agriculture. The program will continue in 2013/14 with project teams in Brazil, South Africa, and the U.S.
