Ahsiya Posner Mencin, Ph.D. is Head of PULSE & Volunteering at GSK. She has worked in corporate social responsibility, human resources, international development, leadership development and organizational change for over 15 years in the public and private sectors. She joined GSK in 2006 in the R&D Strategy Office, and then co-designed and launched the PULSE Volunteer Partnership in 2009, motivated by the opportunity to bridge public and private sectors towards achieving positive sustainable change, especially in the health and education arenas. Ahsiya graduated from Swarthmore College and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. She worked for various NGOs in the US, Africa and the Middle East, and also taught at high school and university levels, before pivoting to the private sector. She lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and two young children and enjoys travel, being outdoors and staying active.
