Linda Jewell’s thirty-two year career as a foreign service officer at the U.S. Information Agency and the Department of State included positions as U.S. Ambassador to Ecuador, Chargé d’Affaires in Costa Rica, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs and Director of Policy Planning for the Western Hemisphere Bureau. She also had assignments in Mexico, India, Poland and Indonesia. After retiring from the State Department she was Executive Vice President of ISEP, a worldwide network for international education, for six years.
In addition to PYXERA Global she was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Public Diplomacy Council. Ambassador Jewell received a B.A. degree in Literature from Yale University and a Masters in International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. She was married to John Walsh and they have two children, Patrick and Susanna.
