Mara Downing, President of the John Deere Foundation and Director of Global Brand Management and Corporate Citizenship at John Deere, leads the groups responsible for community relations, corporate contributions, philanthropy and volunteerism as well as the governance, protection and overall management of the John Deere brand on a global basis. Previously at John Deere, she worked in Public Affairs Worldwide as Director, International Affairs and as Manager, State Public Affairs. Mara began her career with Deere in 2000 in the tax department. Mara holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Ambrose University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
