Maria is a dedicated non-profit professional with extensive experience including organizational management, fundraising, marketing, strategic planning
and programmatic growth. Her unique skill set allows her to build and retain important relationships needed for the organization she serves to become fully sustainable in today’s competitive non-profit environment.
As Executive Director for Chester County Futures (CCF), Maria has brokered new college partnerships with Cabrini University, Denison University, Franklin & Marshall College, Lincoln University and West Chester University of Pennsylvania, among others. These partnerships have resulted in over $2,400,000 in private scholarships for economically disadvantaged youth from their programs over the past three years. She worked alongside members of SAP’s 2016 Social Sabbatical program to develop the first college bridge program, Steps 4 Success, for low-income students in Chester County. This program also distinguishes CCF as the only college access program in the region with a continuum of supports that spans middle school through college.
Maria received her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Immaculata University and a Certificate from Arcadia University’s Executive Leadership Institute. Maria is a life-long resident of Chester County, residing in Downingtown, PA where she raised her two daughters with her husband of 30 years, Hugh McDonald.
