As the head of MDT World Consulting, Mr. Taylor brings his more than 25 years of association, business, international, and management experience to help clients turn challenges and opportunities into tangible successes. MDT World Consulting assists domestic and international for-profit and non-profit clients in government relations, public affairs, sustainability, business development, market entry, trade policy and services, regulatory issues, strategic communications, and issues and reputation management.

Prior to his current responsibilities, Mr. Taylor was Vice President for International Affairs and Trade at the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). He served as the association’s primary adviser and staff expert on global competitiveness and market economics, international affairs and regulations, and trade policy, and market entry.  He advised member companies and staff on the impact of international developments, trade law, and regulatory actions, and advocated industry positions before the media, government officials, and other policy makers.  Mr. Taylor organized and led trade missions, provided trade facilitation services, and assisted member companies in all aspects of international business development, and market entry planning and execution.

Before coming to PLASTICS, he was Director, Europe and Multilateral Programs of the Global Intellectual Property Center (GIPC) at the US Chamber of Commerce. While serving in this capacity, he developed, promoted, and executed the GIPC goals and objectives to champion intellectual property rights in Europe and multilateral forums.

He is as an adjunct professor at Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC lecturing on international affairs and political science.  Mr. Taylor has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political economy, and research methods for more than twenty years.

He received his B.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, and his M.A. in World Politics from the Catholic University of America.
