Sheldon is the President and CEO of the PeaceTech Lab. The Lab works for individuals and communities affected by conflict, using technology, media, and data to accelerate local peacebuilding efforts. Headquartered at the U.S. Institute of Peace, the Lab carries out its mission in close collaboration with public and private sector partners.
Previously, Sheldon was on the Corporate Executive Board on the Technology Practice Leadership Team, working with chief information officers from every sector. He has also served as foreign policy adviser to a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the head of North American Documentary Development for Yorkshire TV and the CEO/Executive Producer for Common Ground Productions. He is an award-winning filmmaker and former commentator for National Public Radio. He has managed peacebuilding programs in numerous conflicts, including Bosnia, Iraq, Angola, Liberia, Macedonia, and Burundi. He holds a doctorate from Oxford University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Johns Hopkins University.
