Washington D.C. - HQ Positions

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support for program management activities in the Global Pro Bono (skills-based volunteering) department. This position requires a strong focus on travel arrangements, logistics, training, financial reporting, program reporting, country and topic-specific research, and program implementation preparation. Working closely with Program Managers, the Program Coordinator will have the opportunity to build their program management skills through exposure to a variety of program implementation and operations activities in the Global Pro Bono department. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, as well as provide high quality program materials with little oversight. Strong writing and presentation skills and a visual eye, combined with the ability to be innovative and flexible are necessary for this position.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of Global Pro Bono programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage program procurement process, participant travel arrangements, and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.
  • Assist in developing pre-deployment training sessions (pre-work) for corporate teams.
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms, assist in preparing budgets, and monitoring financial reports.
  • Assist senior staff and practice area leaders in program and practice area process and service improvements.
  • May assist in editing detailed project scopes of work with local host organizations.
  • Process participant and local partner survey data, and synthesize this information into client-facing reports.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision, ensuring on time deliverables that meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues as appropriate.

Required:

PYXERA Global is looking for a talented and detail-oriented individual to work as a part-time Data Cleaning Consultant in support of our Monitoring and Evaluation Department in our Washington, D.C. office.

CONSULTANCY TASKS

The purpose of the position will be to prepare data for manipulation, analysis and visualizations in statistical software (STATA or SPSS), Power BI, DHIS2 and Salesforce. The Data Cleaning Consultant will support PYXERA Global to ensure the quality and effectiveness of program data management through:

  • Aggregating and cleaning program data from multiple data files and sources
  • Spotting and correcting inaccuracies in the underlying data
  • Interpret datasets and provide ongoing feedback on insights derived from data
  • Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Team and where appropriate the relevant Programs teams to improve data management, and aggregation process

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of our growing Global Pro Bono division to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation. As such, the Associate will provide assistance to the program staff in developing performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating M&E system, processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results. POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global seeks an experienced technology manager who can deliver great customer service. This person will work closely with outsourced vendor partners to support PYXERA Global staff with their desktop, network and server needs. A highly-motivated technical support engineer with extensive background in Microsoft cloud technologies, the Manager, ICT will perform three primary activities:

  • manage Washington, DC based ICT equipment and activities to ensure high availability of secure computers, networks, information services and databases;
  • excellence in customer service supporting and training staff on effective technology solutions in alignment with PYXERA Global’s strategic objectives;
  • serve as project manager for the global rollout of the Microsoft Office 365 based cloud computing platform for email, calendaring, contacts, document management, team and project management, social collaboration, video and audio communication – including implementation of a Sharepoint based Intranet across PYXERA Global offices worldwide.

FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be responsible for all Headquarters technology, implementing cloud-based knowledge systems, processes and platforms which capture, support and extend the intellectual capital of a successful international development NGO. This individual will work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and lead implementation of cloud migration, Intranet, Office 365, digital collaboration and Knowledge Management projects, including application roll-out, user training, and change management across all PYXERA Global offices.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate will have five or more years of experience practicing, implementing and managing best-of-breed information technology, knowledge services and change management with a significant portion of this experience at nonprofits. Experience training and managing global, multicultural staff and vendor partners are desired. The ICT Manager will serve as the subject-matter expert for HQ technology and O365. PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, DC  will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Florianopolis, Brazil, scheduled to take place in August, 2018. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part time consultant currently residing in Florianopolis, Brazil to help with program management and provide project and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees from August to September 2018. ACTIVITIES

  • Identify and select potential clients and develop Scopes of Work for the program that are aligned with specific areas of intervention identified by PYXERA Global and/or our client(s)

  • Orient new program participants upon arrival in Brazil;
