We are looking for a talented designer to create strong digital experiences that connect our audiences with our brand  This includes areas such as website development, video, and graphic design. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web and graphic design, excellent user interface design skills, multimedia capabilities such as video, animation, and the ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Web, Mobile, and Graphic Design
    • Proven work experience in web and responsive design and UX, with sensitivity to user-system interaction; solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flowsand sitemaps 
    • Excellent visual design skills in graphic design, inclusive of print (reports/one-pagers)videoinfographics, and social media

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global seeks highly motivated undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate interns, immediately, to work 30-40 hours per week virtually with our global teamThis paid intern position offers interns the chance to experience and work across multiple job functions and with different divisions. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to work at an international NGO with a focus on global engagement and corporate social responsibility. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, especially in a programmatic or administrative capacity. The intern must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have strong written and communication skills.   

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Intern will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of diverse program activities. S/he is also responsible for assisting in business development activities, including monitoring opportunities across donor/client organizations, proposal preparation, and conducting research. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Assist Program Managers in supporting our staff and programs with project implementation 
  • Participate in the development of donor/client proposals, including research and proposawriting 
  • Create up-to-date country-specific briefings and assist in drafting elements of program work plans, training sessions, required reports (program and financial), and key correspondence sent to clients/donors

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global seeks a highly motivated undergraduate, graduate, or recent graduate intern, immediately, to work 20-40 hours per week virtually with our Enterprise & Community Development team. The ECD Intern will provide support to key initiatives in program management and business development in South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to apply their development experience—as well as gain exposure to working with private sector partners to drive positive socio-economic impact.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, especially in a programmatic or administrative capacity, and is an excellent writer. The intern must be able to both collaboratively and independently lead activities and is detail-oriented and able to prioritize and multi-task.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The ECD Intern will support program management initiatives that will help increase the effectiveness of the ECD Department’s diverse set of global programs. Assistance with business development and communications activities that aim to increase and strengthen awareness of ECD’s programs, methodologies, and impact will also be incorporated into the intern’s experience as a contributing member of the ECD team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Program Toolkits – 45%

  • Collaborate with program teams to co-create the vision and design of designated program toolkits.
  • Engage and work with program teams to collect relevant information and articulate key tools, frameworks, and methodologies. As relevant, lead the process to develop certain tools.
  • Conduct research, as needed, to benchmark tools, frameworks, and/or methodologies with emerging best practices.

Business Development – 30%

  • Conduct research and draft qualifications for proposal development.
  • Assist with proposal review.
  • Engage with business development leads to support ECD’s business development strategy and the implementation of business development processes. As necessary, conduct research on current and prospective clients and partners to support strategic objectives.

Communications – 15%

  • Work with program teams to capture, draft, and review compelling case studies for external communications – including social media posts, web articles, and quarterly and annual reports – in line with program/client, department, and organizational communications strategies/goals.

Administrative – 10%

  • Prepare and process relevant procurement documents, including selection memos, contracts, modifications, wire transfers, and purchase orders.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly program-specific and department-wide updates for the Board of Directors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Pursuing or holds a Bachelor’s degree, or pursuing a Master’s degree in international development, international relations, or related field.
  • Six months to two years of professional experience, international development experience preferred
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team, especially cross-culturally, to meet department and program needs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to manage diverse activities, meet competing deadlines, and practice flexibility in changing situations
  • Excellent writing skills required – especially being comfortable and capable of collecting information (through interviews, desktop research, etc.), organizing and synthesizing key concepts, and delivering concise and compelling content
  • Strong oral and visual communication skills preferred

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global seeks a Private Sector Development Consultant to help coordinate various activities designed to build an effective ecosystem for innovative entrepreneurship in Belarus. The Consultant will establish and support direct dialogue with local partners and innovation practitioners, and stakeholders across Belarus.

This consultancy is full-time and based in Minsk, Belarus. The Consultant will report to a representative of PYXERA Global. The anticipated initial consulting period is May 31 through December 31, 2021, though based on needs and Consultant performance, the consulting period may be extended.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Private Sector Development Consultant will help generate creative solutions to complex challenges, shape strategies, and assist in planning and implementation. The Consultant is responsible for establishing and maintaining direct dialogue with the local private sector community in the innovative sector and collecting actionable insights to guide the PYXERA Global team to better understand how to support entrepreneur development, venture financing development, and improvement of the business enabling environment. The Consultant will:

  • Work with the PYXERA Global team to engage with thought leaders to set stakeholder-specific priorities, define local innovation ecosystem goals and objectives, and build coalitions and consensus among private sector institutions and individuals.
  • Help to tailor capacity-building efforts, identify emerging trends, explore viable opportunities, introduce best practices in innovative ecosystem development, and expand the connections between the Belarusian innovation community and global clients and partners.
  • Help to establish suitable collaboration platforms for key ecosystem actors, conduct or coordinate interviews and focus group sessions with decision-makers and influencers, and assist with the design and implementation of innovation forums and grant programs.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist the PYXERA Global team in carrying out identified activities.
  • Work with local leaders in Belarus’s innovation ecosystem to define specific development priorities.
  • Analyze existing initiatives and their impact on innovation-based entrepreneurship.
  • Coordinate outreach campaigns, focus group sessions, and give presentations.
  • Establish collaboration with relevant organizations and individuals.
  • Exchange best practices and novel ideas among key stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between key private and public innovation ecosystem stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on how to improve the innovative ecosystem in Belarus via expert analysis and specific recommendations.
  • Develop agenda topics for regular meetings and forums and formulate clear conclusions from group discussions.
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative data analysis, verification of identified gaps, and consensus-building measures, which will strive to improve dialogue between indigenous innovation ecosystem actors.
  • Assist with the preparation of newsletters and press releases for the local community.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of a master’s or equivalent degree in economics, public policy, law, business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in or with the private sector, with a focus on innovative industries, entrepreneurship, or ICT.
  • A strong desire and commitment to expanding his/her role in building a supportive ecosystem in Belarus for growth in innovation and technology.
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, critical thinking, analysis, synthesis, and problem-solving.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Coordinator (PC) provides administrative and programmatic support for program management activities in the Global Pro Bono department. This position requires a strong focus on logistics, training, financial reporting, program reporting, country and topic-specific research, travel arrangements, and program preparation tasks. Working closely with Program Managers, the PC will have the opportunity to build their program management skills through exposure to a variety of program implementation and operations activities in the Global Pro Bono department. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the PC will also support internal improvement initiatives and may support coordination for specific client teams. 

The GPB department operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. The ideal candidate will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality program support with little oversight and close attention to detail. Priority skills include: the ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbally and in writing), process-orientation, ability to organize logistics, and time management, all combined with a high sense of flexibilityStrong writing and presentation skills, combined with the ability to be innovative, are also necessary for this position.  

While this is a remote work position at present, there is an expectation of return to our Washington, DC-based office in late 2021.  

The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s GPB practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Manage program procurement process, participant travel arrangements (as needed), and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers. 
  • Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.  
  • Assist in creating and facilitating training sessions for corporate teams. 
  • Ability to manage diverse activitiesmeet competing deadlines, and reprioritize activities as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate program records in relevant databases and formats (i.e. Excel, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.). 
  • Create up-to-date location-specific briefing guides and assist in drafting elements of program work plans and required reports (program and financial).  
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms and assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial reports. 
  • Assist in developing and/or copy-editing detailed project scopes of work with local host organizations. 
  • Assist senior staff and practice area leaders in program and practice area processes and service improvements. 
  • Process program participant and local partner survey data and synthesize this information into client-facing reports. 
  • Develop and maintain tools to track reporting and program requirements. 
  • Support department onboarding for client-specific logistics coordination processes. 
  • Manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision, ensuring on-time deliverables that meet internal and external stakeholder needs 
  • Capture and share success stories/lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues as appropriate.  
  • Assist in drafting key correspondence for clients/donors. 
  • As needed, provide training to our partners on PYXERA Global’s logistical services. 
  • As applicable, contribute to and lead client-facing communication on project status, operations, logistics, strategy, and continual program improvements. 
  • As needed, coordinate operations across a client portfolio, including management of templates and documents, documentation of processes and process flows, tracking of individual project progress, and communication of specific client policies to staff. 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

  • US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with a minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience. 
  • Experience in project management, event planning, and/or administrative experience. 
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet program/client needs. 
  • Swift ability to learn policies, processes, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Experience in public speaking and meeting/event facilitation. 
  • Experience in training and onboarding both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage diverse tasks simultaneously. 
  • Strong writing and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
