THE OPPORTUNITY

PYXERA Global will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Buenos Aires, Argentina scheduled to take place from May 6th to June 3rd. PYXERA Global is seeking university students, recent graduates, or professional translators currently residing in Buenos Aires city to provide interpretation/program support services for the team of international corporate volunteers staying in Buenos Aires who will provide pro bono consulting services to local, social sector organizations.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Sequential Interpretation or written translation during the program during 7 regular working hours from Monday to Friday (set by each office and team but). Occasionally assistance will be requested in some specific weekend activity.
  • Conduct country specific research as needed to support the consultants.
  • Coordination of program activities with PYXERA Global Staff.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to a team of SAP employees from different countries for the duration of the assignment.
  • Monitor and advise on security arrangements for corporate volunteers when they are in Buenos Aires

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENT

About INNOVATE Activity

INNOVATE is a five-year activity supported by USAID and implemented by PYXERA Global. It is designed to further develop and promote the ecosystem for innovative enterprises in Belarus by engaging private sector stakeholders to formulate and execute an integrated set of strategies to broaden and deepen the ecosystem for innovative entrepreneurship in Belarus.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The DCOP will have at least 7 years of demonstrated technical expertise in economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship development, proven experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure sustainability and alignment with strategic objectives, and agile leadership in navigating complex and dynamic sociopolitical environments through all stages of the project pipeline—from facilitating the design of a sustainable, multi-sectoral strategy to managing implementation to monitoring and evaluating outcomes for quality and compliance.

 

The DCOP will support overall leadership management and provide general technical direction for the program, working closely with partner individuals, organizations, and teams of technical experts to ensure integration, coordination, innovation, and impact across all program operation lines. The DCOP will directly oversee field-level activities to ensure program goals are achieved and will assume responsibility for award management; implementation; communication with USAID, Ukraine, and international grant partners; and inquiry response in the absence of the COP. This position is full-time and based in Vilnius, Lithuania.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and troubleshoot program planning, strategy, implementation, and administration; operations development and management; and budget development and fiscal management processes to ensure quality, alignment with budget allocations, compliance with USAID standards and stakeholder expectations (including key risk identification, risk mitigation, and compliance with transparency and due diligence requirements), and sustainability
  • Manage local and remote teams of long- and short-term expert and support staff—directly supervising senior programmatic, technical, and field staff and coordinating overall workflow and human resources protocols—to ensure effective delivery of capacity building program activities
  • Represent PYXERA Global by coordinating program activities remotely and in-person with USAID officials; government authorities; country office staff; and academic institution, business, and community implementing partners and development stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives
  • Direct technical assistance efforts as determined by the COP
  • Oversee the timely development and implementation of high-quality program reporting plans, requirements, and templates on quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and other bases quarterly and annual operating plans in line with USAID guidelines and stakeholder requirements
  • Assist in the development monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, project management tools, and efficient systems to ensure effective implementation and regular communication of project results
  • Promote and uphold a diverse and inclusive working environment conducive to safety, non-discrimination, open and equitable and discussion, gender integration, and the advancement of minority and human rights

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience supporting or leading the design and implementation of complex international development projects of a similar scope
  • Demonstrated responsibility and success managing medium-to-large technical and administrative teams and projects with USAID or other donor-supported development projects
  • In-depth knowledge of USAID policies and rules
  • Technical expertise in enterprise and economic development programming
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within teams

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

We are looking for a Program Manager (PM) or Senior Program Manager, dependent on experience. The PM works within the Global Pro Bono department and is responsible for program management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, thought leadership, and financial oversight of short-term GPB projects globally, including both virtual and immersive projects. In most cases, the PM will be responsible for simultaneously managing projects for multiple corporate clients. Working closely with Client Managers, PMs will have the opportunity to apply their project management and strategic skills and gain exposure to a variety of program models and approaches within the department. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the PM will also support internal initiatives and oversee the work of a client team. 

 

The GPB department operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. He/she will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality project support with little oversight. Experience navigating diverse geographies, openness to operating in new geographies, managing staff, and program implementation experience will be an asset in this role, as will experience in customer service and partnership development with the private and social sectors. Strong writing and presentation skills, comfort with cross-cultural engagement, and the ability to troubleshoot is a must for this position. Experience in content development and training is also a plus.  

There is an opportunity for this position to be remote, but preference will be given to candidate who are able to be in-person in our Washington, DC office two days a week.  

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation of PYXERA Global’s GPB practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Implement and manage Global Pro Bono programs, including oversight of travel arrangements and logistical support, engagement and selection of local partner organization, detailed scope of work development, virtual pre-work facilitation, on-site team facilitation, travel to project sites, project preparation and implementation, and impact reporting; 
  • Support senior staff in managing client relationships both globally and locally; 
  • Review and prepare work plans, required reports (program and financial), and key correspondence sent to clients/donors; 
  • Coordinate with senior staff on project design and practice area initiatives; 
  • Support and lead client-facing communication on project status, operations, logistics, strategy, and continual program improvements. 
  • As applicable, manage operations across a client portfolio, including management of templates and documents, documentation of processes and process flows, tracking of individual project progress, and communication of specific client policies to staff. 
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues; 
  • Ensure financial and reporting compliance, including development and review of budgets with global and DC-office staff; 
  • Manage projects so that they are on time, on budget, and meet stakeholder needs and deliverable targets;  
  • Oversee project logistics, including procurements participant travel arrangements in collaboration with Program Coordinators; 
  • Review relevant accounting forms, prepare budgets, and monitor financial reports; 
  • Lead program, project, and practice area process and service improvements; 
  • Review project participant and local partner organization survey data and write client-facing reports; 
  • Support department onboarding by training staff on client-specific processes; 
  • Manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision, ensuring on time deliverables that meet internal and external stakeholder needs;

POSITION DESCRIPTION 

The Senior Program Coordinator (SPC) provides administrative and programmatic support for Global Pro Bono programs, and may provide project management to our virtual programming. This position requires a strong focus on training, financial reporting, program reporting, managing virtual teams, country and topic-specific research, program planning, and program preparation tasks. Working closely with Program Managers, the SPC will have the opportunity to build their program management skills through exposure to a variety of program implementation and operations activities. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the SPC will also support internal improvement initiatives and may support coordination for specific client teams. 

 The GPB team operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. The ideal candidate will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality program support with little oversight and close attention to detail. Priority skills include: the ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbally and in writing), strong customer service skills, process-orientation, ability to organize logistics, and time management, all combined with high sense of flexibility. Strong writing and presentation skills, combined with the ability to be innovative, are also necessary for this position.  

This position is based in our Washington, DC-based office for at least 2 days a week.  

The Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s  programming, with a majority focus on GPB Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • If additional surge support is needed, manage program procurement processes, participant travel arrangements, and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers. 
  • Managing virtual programs and teams 
  • Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.  
  • Assist in creating and facilitating training sessions for corporate teams. 
  • Ability to manage diverse activities, meet competing deadlines, and reprioritize activities as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate program records in relevant databases and formats (i.e. Excel, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.). 
  • Create up-to-date location-specific briefing guides and assist in drafting elements of program work plans and required reports (program and financial).  
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms and assist in preparing budgets and monitoring financial reports. 
  • Assist in developing and/or copy-editing detailed project scopes of work with local host organizations. 
  • Assist senior staff and practice area leaders in program and practice area processes and service improvements. 
  • Process program participant and local partner survey data and synthesize this information into client-facing reports. 
  • Develop and maintain tools to track reporting and program requirements.

ABOUT THE POSITION

PYXERA Global is seeking a Proposal Writer Consultant to support PYXERA Global business development efforts. The candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in successfully advancing program growth through proposal processes. Experience in not-for-profit, non- governmental, and USAID or other donor-supported development projects preferred.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Contribute to the development of strategies to respond to RFA/RFPs, including bid strategies, teaming, and win themes
  • Conduct research and analysis to draft a high-quality proposal
  • Draft technical proposals and accompanying documents in alignment with funder interests and PYXERA Global objectives
  • Review technical proposals with copyediting of final proposals
  • Ensure high-quality work for accuracy, completeness, and clarity
  • Maintain the grant pipeline and reporting calendars to meet all deadlines
  • Support the ECD team in ongoing strategic partnership development by preparing and/or editing strong solicitation proposals, reports, and other communications

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global is seeking an Impact and Learning Manager to join its Ghana team and support the implementation of its enterprise and community development programs. The I&L manager will play a critical role in designing, operationalizing, and leading the implementation of M&E and performance management frameworks for its MSME programs.

The Impact and Learning department implements and leads PYXERA Global’s impact evaluation system to ensure robust measurement and effective communication of the results of our global social impact programs. PYXERA Global’s approach to impact and learning is human-centered, growth-oriented, and iterative. Human-centered means we focus on developing research tools and an evaluation system that adds value all stakeholders in our work, especially the communities we partner with. Growth-oriented means we focus on using our data to understand not only if we achieved an impact, but also how we can continue to improve our work and not rest on our laurels. Finally, iterative means we harness time-tested evaluative approaches yet constantly look for ways to innovate new services, tools, and deliverables to meet the unique needs of each client and community.

This role will lead the monitoring and evaluation strategy for its MSME programs. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and leading the implementation of MEL plans for MSME programs, facilitating program and organizational learning, program iteration and adaptation. The I&L Manager will also possess excellent presentation skills that utilize data to visually demonstrate the value of the program and explain complex concepts in accessible ways that can influence decision makers and foster organizational learning.

 

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The Impact and Learning Manager will lead the design and implementation of PYXERA Global Ghana’s MSME programs MEL plan in alignment with activities result and framework.
  • Develop and lead the roll out of activity-specific Impact and Learning tools for the MSME programs, in collaboration with relevant monitoring, evaluation and learning and other activity staff.
  • Support PYXERA Global partners in developing activity results frameworks (input, output, outcome and impact), and develop relevant indicators and targets for result areas and methods and/or tools to collect and evaluate the data.
  • Design and conduct monitoring, evaluation and learning training for PYXERA Global partners on topics that may include monitoring, evaluation and learning practices, data quality management, basic data analysis, and managing evaluations.
  • Coordinate with the MSME Training Manager in the implementation of training, monitoring and evaluation of activities.
  • Develop high quality quantitative and qualitative methods and participatory methodologies to monitor program quality for performance and results.
  • Develop data collection and aggregation tools, as well as maintain activity databases.
  • Lead the routine analysis of program data for learning and adaptation; summarize and visualize program monitoring data and results and communicate to senior staff and partners.
  • Integrate the use of innovative technologies, data platforms, and GIS mapping for data collection, management, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other staff and lead the development, review, and finalization monthly, quarterly and annual MEL workplans, success stories and budgets.
  • Oversee the development of donor reports, ensuring that PYXERA Global meets all donor reporting requirements for monitoring, evaluation and learning.
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of baseline, mid-term and end of activity evaluations, surveys, special studies, and other components of the activity’s MEL system (using both qualitative and quantitative methods).
  • Liaise with partners and stakeholders involved in the relevant program activities and collaborate in promoting high quality results and complementary efforts.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as: social science (international development, political science), statistics, or economics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, managing, and implementing results-based MEL activities for a large, complex international development programs.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative M&E data collection and analysis methods.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning requirements tools and approaches.
  • Experience developing results frameworks, logical frameworks, or similar tools for project design.

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as: social science (international development, political science), statistics, or economics.
  • Strong experience in data analysis and data visualization with Excel, SPSS or other related software.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and managing operational research and evaluations.
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesizing and analyzing various data sources for training, learning and recommendations for programing adaptations.
  • Effective writing and data visualization and presentation skills.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Coordinator (PC) provides administrative and programmatic support for Global Pro Bono programs, and may support other programming throughout the organization. This position requires a strong focus on training, financial reporting, program reporting, managing virtual teams, country and topic-specific research, program planning, and program preparation tasks. Working closely with Program Managers, the PC will have the opportunity to build their program management skills through exposure to a variety of program implementation and operations activities. In addition to overall programmatic activities, the PC will also support internal improvement initiatives and may support coordination for specific client teams.

The GPB team operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. The ideal candidate will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality program support with little oversight and close attention to detail. Priority skills include: the ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbally and in writing), strong customer service skills, process-orientation, ability to organize logistics, and time management, all combined with high sense of flexibility. Strong writing and presentation skills, combined with the ability to be innovative, are also necessary for this position.

While this is a remote work position at present, there is an expectation of returning to our Washington, DC-based office in 2022 for at least 2 days a week.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s  programming, with a majority focus on GPB Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • If additional surge support is needed, manage program procurement processes, participant travel arrangements, and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Support in overseeing virtual programs and teams
  • Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.
  • Assist in creating and facilitating training sessions for corporate teams.
  • Ability to manage diverse activities, meet competing deadlines, and reprioritize activities as needed.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience.

This paid intern position offers interns the chance to experience and work across multiple job functions and with different divisions. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Intern will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of diverse program activities.
