POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Assistant provides logistical support for project-related activities in the Global Pro Bono Department. This position requires a strong focus on travel arrangements, logistics, financial reporting, and country and topic-specific research. This position is a one-year contract position with option to renew.

The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments as well as provide high quality logistical support with little oversight. Priority skills include strong attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly (oral and written), process oriented, ability to organize logistics, time management, and writing, all combined with the ability to be flexible.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s Global Pro Bono practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Make travel arrangements and coordinate program logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Conduct budget and country research for developing briefing materials for potential new programs and business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate program records in relevant databases and formats (i.e. Excel, SalesForce, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Create up-to-date location-specific briefing guides and assist in drafting elements of program work plans and required reports (program and financial),
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms, assist in preparing budgets, and monitoring financial reports.

DESCRIPTION:

The Program Manager plays a substantive role in project development and management with moderate supervision from senior staff. The PM is responsible for supporting and implementing the strategy for the Global Pro Bono practice area that will expand the organization’s technical capability, project portfolio, and reputation for excellence. The PM position requires demonstrated experience in customer service, client management, program design and management, monitoring and evaluation, as well as experience in business development, including proposal/concept writing and budget design. The Program Manger reports the India Country Director and may superivse field staff in program cities.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of programs under PYXERA Global’s Global Pro bono Practice Area and may participate in development of new business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support senior staff in managing key client relationships
  • Draft significant elements of program work plans, required reports (program and financial), and key correspondence sent to clients.
  • Manage Global Pro Bono programs, including travel arrangements and logistical support, virtual pre-work development and facilitation, travel to project cities for program preparation and implementation, and reporting on program impact.
  • Identify and select potential clients and develop Scopes of Work for the program that are aligned with specific areas of intervention identified by PYXERA Global and/or our client(s)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the development organizational performance management frameworks, as well as specific program M&E needs to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of program implementation.  The Associate will provide assistance to the program staff in developing performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating M&E system, processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results.

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support staff members in setting up systems for program M&E.
  • Designing  and developing questionnaires.
  • Building the surveys in the data collection system (Clicktools).
  • Assist with data collection, aggregation, and analysis.
  • Assist with research, writing, and editing.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Associate is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s programming. Key responsibilities include:

  • Arrange travel arrangements and coordinate meeting logistics for programs in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Conduct budget and country research for developing briefing materials for potential new programs and business opportunities.
  • Assist in creating and facilitating training sessions for corporate teams.
  • Create up-to-date country-specific briefing books and assist in drafting elements of program work plans, required reports (program and financial), and key correspondence sent to clients/donors.
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms, assist in preparing budgets, and monitoring financial reports.
  • Assist in editing and developing detailed scopes of work with local partner organizations.
  • Process participant and local partner survey data, and synthesize this information into client-facing reports.
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs.
  • Develop and maintain tools to track reporting and program requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet program/client needs.
  • Experience working with cross cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteer programs.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage diverse tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible and able to work in a team as well as individually with limited supervision.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in program management, event management or logistics planning.
  • Strong knowledge of excel for logistics tracking, reporting, and budgeting a plus.
  • Experience in impact measurement and Salesforce are a plus.
  • Language proficiency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin Chinese.
  • Overseas work experience is desired.
  • Availability to start working between late-July and mid-August.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PYXERA Global is seeking an accomplished professional, experienced in managing international programs to provide leadership and programmatic support to clients in the Global Pro Bono (skills-based volunteering) practice area. The Senior Program Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall development, implementation, monitoring, personnel management, and budgetary oversight of all programs and projects to which s/he is assigned. In most cases, the SPM will be responsible for supporting the relationship of more than one of PYXERA Global’s corporate clients. In addition to program management, the SPM will have responsibility for one or more internal projects related to continuous improvement of the practice area’s operations.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in navigating various geographies (and those that may be new to them); implementing and managing global programs; managing client relationships; business development; as well as experience in strategy and partnership development with the private and social sectors. Strong writing and presentation skills, combined with the ability to be innovative and drive opportunities, are a must for this position. Previous experience managing junior staff and working with a multicultural and global team is preferred.

 

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to regular program management responsibilities, the SPM will:

  • Manage client responsibilities with limited oversight including contract development and renewal, concept development, invoicing, reporting, staffing, quality control, etc.;
  • Manage and implement multiple Global Pro Bono programs so that they are on time, on budget, and meet stakeholder needs and deliverable targets (activities include oversight of travel arrangements, management of partner selection and scope of work development, virtual pre-work facilitation, team facilitation, and reporting on program impact)
  • Ensure financial and reporting compliances, including development and review of budgets with field and home office staff;
  • Conduct presentations to existing or potential clients; represent PYXERA Global various capacities;
  • Identify sources of funding, new business opportunities, and potential partner organizations for new or existing programs;
  • Deliver high quality product and service to internal and external clients;
  • Lead program design and practice area process and service improvements, as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 8-10 years of experience, MA or MBA preferred
  • Excellent client relationship development and management skills a must
  • Experience living and working in a country or culture different from one’s own
  • Experience engaging with cross cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteer programs
  • Significant experience in presenting to various audiences (exceptional public speaking skills)
  • Event facilitation experience is a must
  • Ability to train others and facilitate train the trainer programs
  • Able to multi-task and manage diverse tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of one or more critical topics in global development (i.e. global health, IT, skills gap, gender empowerment, WASH, access to nutrition, etc.) and demonstrated commitment to improving livelihoods
  • Knowledge of at least one specific technical area related to PYXERA Global’s programs and services (pro bono, leadership/talent development, community development, public private partnerships, monitoring and evaluation, corporate social responsibility, cross cultural engagement, value-chains, enterprise development, market development, etc.)
  • Strong writing (report, proposal, scopes of work, etc.) and great attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service and client management skills
  • Able to travel up to 30-40% to Africa, Middle East, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
  • Language proficiency in one of the following is a plus, but not a must: Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Russian, or a Southeast Asian language (Filipino, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, etc.).
