PYXERA Global is looking for a talented individual to work as full-time Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to support the Global Pro Bono Division in our Washington, DC office. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will support the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of our growing Global Pro Bono division to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation. On-the-job training will be provided, and opportunities for professional development and learning are available.

As Such the Manager will:
  • Provide assistance to program staff to develop performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation;
  • Create monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, processes, and tools;
  • Contribute to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results; and
  • Support the staff in project management and budgeting of deliverables.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting staff members in setting up logical frameworks and stakeholder assessments
  • Developing monitoring and evaluation tools for programs
  • Developing indicators and designing surveys
  • Building surveys in a data collection system (Clicktools)
  • Conducting data collection, aggregation, and analysis
  • Performing research, writing, and editing
  • Developing reporting templates and instructions
  • Performing data management and quality control (Salesforce and SharePoint)
  • Providing support, troubleshooting, and training to staff as it relates to M&E

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

PYXERA Global seeks a highly motivated undergraduate or recent graduate to work 20 hours per week as an intern at our headquarters in Washington, DC. The Operations & Administrative Intern will work with PYXERA Global’s Enterprise and Community Development (ECD) Division, which collaborates with diverse partners to build resilient business and entrepreneurial ecosystems through community driven solutions. The intern will provide support for multiple programs, including Integrated Community Development programs in Belarus, India, Nigeria, Ghana, and Ethiopia, to ensure efficient operation, organization, and communication across the division. This is an entry-level career internship and is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to gain exposure to several different programs and work at an international NGO with a focus on global engagement.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of a number of program activities. Global Positions

PYXERA Global (www.PYXERAGlobal.org), an NGO with offices around the world, will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Nairobi, Kenya scheduled to take place from May 23 – June 5, 2020. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time local project coordinator currently residing in Nairobi to provide project management and logistical support to the selected team of high-level, executive corporate volunteers who will provide pro bono consulting services to local, social sector organizations.

The selected local project coordinator’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following.

Project Development & Implementation

• Identify and select potential clients and help to develop Scope of Works (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of intervention requested by local host clients (mostly nonprofits and social enterprises).
• Support local host clients in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers and ensuring stakeholder meetings are arranged
• Participate in conference calls with corporate volunteers in advance of their arrival in Nairobi
• Support corporate volunteers, providing advice and guidance around SOW delivery

PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, D.C., will be managing an international corporate volunteer (global pro bono) program based in Mauritius, scheduled to take place at or around Port Louis, from 28th March 2020 to 25th April 2020. PYXERA Global is hiring a consultant currently residing in or near to Port Louis to provide project and logistical support to the selected team of corporate participants. The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

DURATION: The contract will start from 16th December 2019 and the duration will be till 27th April 2020. The consultant will be required to work part time from 16th Dec 2019 till 27th March 2020 and full time from 28th March to 27th April 2020. Total time commitment during the contract period is between 240 to 260 hours.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Project Development and Implementation:
• Participate in conference calls with India and Washington-DC based team
• Conduct in-person, relationship-building meetings with key stakeholders who are employed by or affiliated with local NGOs and social enterprises based in and around Port Louis, Mauritius
• Conduct additional meetings, as needed, with key stakeholders to outline program requirements and objectives

• Graduate degree in international relations, public health, communications, organizational development, NGO management, or related field experience
• Demonstrated skill and experience in multi-sector and multi-stakeholder partnership management, highly desired
• Demonstrated skill and experience in program management and logistics coordination
• Demonstrated skills in financial management, highly desired
• High-level fluency in English and French, required
• Experience in project management and in leading multicultural groups
• Experience/familiarity with the social sector in Mauritius a plus

PYXERA Global (www.PYXERAGlobal.org), an NGO based in Washington, DC, will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Hangzhou, China scheduled to take place from March 28 – April 24, 2020. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time local consultant currently residing in Hangzhou to provide project management and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees who will provide pro-bono consulting services to local non-profits and social enterprises.
The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

• Identify and select potential clients and help to develop scopes of work (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of intervention requested by local host organizations (mostly nonprofits, community development social enterprises, and government entities)
• Support local host organizations in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers, ensuring stakeholder meetings are arranged
• Participate in conference calls with corporate volunteers in advance of their arrival in Hangzhou
• Support corporate volunteers, providing advice and guidance around scope of work delivery
• Act as the on-the-ground interface between PYXERA Global and partners in Hangzhou, including regular correspondence with PYXERA Global HQ staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the volunteers and partners
• Participate in meetings with corporate volunteers, as requested
• Prepare financial and final program reports

LOGISTICS

• Assist in procuring accommodations and transportation in Hangzhou
• Coordinate the kick-off and closing event(s) for volunteer groups and host organizations
• Prepare Hangzhou -related guides and suggestions for team orientation packets
• Orient new corporate volunteers upon arrival in Hangzhou
• Manage assignment, work, and project travel logistics for volunteers while they are in Hangzhou
• Act as a logistical and informational resource for volunteers and troubleshoot challenges they may face
• Monitor and advise on security arrangements for volunteers when they are in Hangzhou

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Must be based in Hangzhou with in-depth area familiarity
  • College degree in communications, project management, organizational development, NGO management, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience
  • Experience working with cross-cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteer programs
  • Ability to multi-task and manage diverse tasks simultaneously
  • Flexible and able to work in a team as well as individually with limited supervision
  • Exceptional writing skills and ability to develop scopes of work with limited supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and Chinese
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in virtual and in-person presentation skills

SALARY:

This is a part-time consultant position with an estimate timeline of 4 -5 months. Pay is based on past experience and the type of work required for this position.
