POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Assistant provides logistical support for project-related activities in the Global Pro Bono Department. This position requires a strong focus on travel arrangements, logistics, financial reporting, and country and topic-specific research. This position is a one-year contract position with option to renew.

The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments as well as provide high quality logistical support with little oversight. Priority skills include strong attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly (oral and written), process oriented, ability to organize logistics, time management, and writing, all combined with the ability to be flexible.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s Global Pro Bono practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Make travel arrangements and coordinate program logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Conduct budget and country research for developing briefing materials for potential new programs and business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate program records in relevant databases and formats (i.e. Excel, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Create up-to-date location-specific briefing guides and assist in drafting elements of program work plans and required reports (program and financial),
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms, assist in preparing budgets, and monitoring financial reports.
  • Process participant and local partner survey data, and synthesize this information into client-facing reports.
  • Develop and maintain tools to track reporting and program requirements.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • US Citizen or Permanent US employment authorization required.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Experience in logistics, event planning and/or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and/or lead the efforts to effectively meet program/client needs.
  • Experience working with cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage diverse tasks simultaneously.

The Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support for program management activities in the Global Pro Bono (skills-based volunteering) department. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage program procurement process, participant travel arrangements, and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
  • Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.
  • Assist in developing pre-deployment training sessions (pre-work) for corporate teams.
  • Prepare and process relevant accounting forms, assist in preparing budgets, and monitoring financial reports.
  • Assist senior staff and practice area leaders in program and practice area process and service improvements.
  • May assist in editing detailed project scopes of work with local host organizations.
  • Process participant and local partner survey data, and synthesize this information into client-facing reports.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision, ensuring on time deliverables that meet internal and external stakeholder needs.
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues as appropriate.

Required:

PYXERA Global is seeking a talented individual to work as a full-time Thought Leadership Manager in our Washington, DC office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Thought Leadership Manager will oversee PYXERA Global’s portfolio of thought leadership activity across external speaking engagements/events, and earned media, within the context of an integrated communications plan.  The manager will report into and work in collaboration with Senior Director of Communications to contribute to the overall strategy and implement specific activities in service of PYXERA Global programmatic and mission objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • External Events
    • Co-develop the portfolio of external events where PYXERA Global executives and staff will seek to be present.
    • Pitch and secure new speaking engagements; respond to roster of incoming speaking opportunities.
    • Managing relationships with key organizations and event partners.
    • Provide support and periodic development for earned engagements.
  • Media Relations
    • Manage relationships with key journalists, editors, and book publishers.
    • Pitch new and relevant stories and trends to advance PYXERA Global mission.
    • Write and edit articles for external publication.
  • Amplification
    • Work closely with social media and communications team to appropriately amplify thought leadership activities.
    • Maintain an ‘editorial calendar’ for the platform to inform internal and external parties of thought leadership activity, and leverage appropriately.

PYXERA Global’s Shanghai, China Country Office is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic communications and design professional to manage our media, communications and marketing practice. The Communications Specialist will work directly with PYXERA Global China team staff, and will undertake a wide range of projects and priorities contributing to the overall brand visibility and outreach of the organization in China. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional writing and design abilities who is willing to take on a central role in ensuring our print and digital communications collateral and multi-media products propel interest and action and who enjoys collaborating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment on a diverse range of design, marketing, and outreach initiatives.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Communications Specialist will implement the development and design of print, digital and web projects from the Shanghai office. Duties include, but may not limited to, the following:

  • Produce printed and digital materials in support of the operational needs, including translation and adaption of the webpages, marketing collateral, project information such as PPT presentations, publications, one-pagers and other relevant products;
  • Develop and publish online multi-channel campaigns and social media content for organizational initiatives, publications and programs in China;
  • Promote PYXERA Global programmatic initiatives and practice areas and support business development in China;
  • Liaise with external media and press and coordinate the successful management of contracts with relevant communications service providers.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in communications, media relations or related field;
  • Good grasp of social media management and campaign development;

PYXERA Global, will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, scheduled to take place in February-March 2018. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part time consultant currently residing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to help with program management and provide project and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees from October 2017-April 2018. Possibility of extension based on additional corporate programs.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

  • Identify and select potential clients and develop Scopes of Work for the program that are aligned with specific areas of intervention identified by PYXERA Global and/or our client(s)
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues as appropriate.
  • Orient new program participants upon arrival in Cambodia;
  • Serve as logistics coordinator and as an informational resource for Volunteers and troubleshoot problems they may face;
  • Recruit and hire Project Assistants (If applicable) to support corporate consultants with translation, research and interviews.
  • Participate in weekly preparation phone calls with corporate team(s) as needed;
  • Coordinate Client/Project Assistant Pre-Departure Orientation, Welcome and Final Events for corporate employees and local client firms/organizations;
  • Correspond with PYXERA Global headquarters program staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the Volunteers and our partners
  • Monitor and advise on security arrangements for Volunteers when they are in Cambodia.

PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time consultant currently residing in Vancouver to help with program design and provide project and logistical support to a selected team of corporate volunteers who will provide pro bono consulting services to local non-profits and social enterprises.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

  • Review and validate PYXERA Global list of potential social organizations in Vancouver and identify new ones that could be contacted during the outreach phase;
  • Participate in scoping trip meetings week with selected organizations;
  • Complete the scoping trip scorecard, and select with PYXERA Global social organizations to participate in the pro-bono engagements;
  • Match assigned pro-bono consultants to projects;
  • Co-lead with PYXERA Global three preparation conference calls with group of pro-bono consultants;
  • Be the principal PYXERA Global contact with stakeholders throughout project preparation and implementation;
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Welcome and Final Workshops for pro-bono consultants and participating social organizations in February and April 2017, respectively;
