Washington D.C. - HQ Positions

PYXERA Global seeks a highly motivated candidate to work 20-40 hours per week as a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern at our office in Washington, DC. The Intern will work with PYXERA Global’s M&E, which supports organizational divisions that build resilient businesses and entrepreneurial ecosystems through Global Pro Bono work and community driven solutions.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of PYXERA Global to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation.

The ideal candidate will have international development experience, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and has the academic preparation and/or skills in quantitative analysis and impact measurement. The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to both collaboratively and independently lead research activities, and have strong quantitative reasoning and data management (Excel) skills.

The internship is paid. Candidates who are be able to continue through Fall 2020 is desired.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Associate (PA) provides administrative and programmatic support for program management activities in the Global Pro Bono department. This position requires a strong focus on travel arrangements, logistics, training, financial reporting, program reporting, country and topic-specific research, and program implementation preparation. Working closely with Program Coordinators and Managers, the Program Associate will have the opportunity to build their program management skills through exposure to a variety of program implementation and operations activities in the Global Pro Bono department. In addition to programmatic activities, the PA will also support internal improvement initiatives and may also provide client coordination support in client management teams.

The GPB department operates in a fast-paced, agile environment with quickly shifting priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of agility and comfort with ambiguity. The ideal candidate will also be able to multitask, take initiative in completing assignments, and provide high-quality program support with little oversight. Priority skills include strong attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly and professionally (orally and in writing), process-orientation, ability to organize logistics, and time management, all combined with the ability to be flexible. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Associate is responsible for supporting the implementation of PYXERA Global’s GPB practice area programming. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Logistics
• Manage program procurement process, participant travel arrangements, and coordinate all logistics in collaboration with Program Managers.
• Provide training to our partners on how to implement PYXERA Global’s logistical service offering.

Project Operations
• Conduct budget, country, and local organization research for developing briefing materials and program preparation.
• Assist in creating and facilitating training sessions for corporate teams.

The SPC is responsible for program management, implementation, monitoring, and financial oversight of programs for which s/he is assigned. The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator plays a key technical and management role in the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of our growing program divisions to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation. Training in the field of Global Pro Bono and PYXERA Global’s M&E methodology will be provided, but candidates are expected to come equipped with previously acquired M&E competencies. • Provide technical support to program staff to develop performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation;

PYXERA Global (www.PYXERAGlobal.org), an NGO with offices in Washington, DC, will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Montevideo, Uruguay scheduled to take place from July 4 – August 1, 2020. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time local consultant currently residing in Montevideo to provide project management and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees who will offer pro bono consulting services to local nonprofits and social enterprises.
The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

Identify and select potential host organizations and help to develop Scopes of Work (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of assistance requested by local host organizations (mostly nonprofits, social enterprises, incubators/accelerators, universities, or community-based development organizations)
Support local host organizations in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers and ensure that stakeholder meetings are arranged
Participate in conference calls with corporate volunteers in advance of their arrival in Montevideo
Support corporate volunteers by providing advice and guidance regarding their scope of work deliverables
Act as the on-the-ground interface between PYXERA Global and host organizations in Montevideo, including regular correspondence with PYXERA Global DC-based staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the corporate volunteers and host organizations

KEY ACTIVITIES
