Washington D.C. - HQ Positions

PYXERA Global is seeking a Director of Information and Communications Technology (“ICT”) who can work to support the organization in meeting its mission through the utilization of available technologies. The Director of ICT will be responsible for managing PYXERA Global’s ICT needs, including responsibility for the Office 365-based knowledge portal management, growth and staff training; the supervision of its Managed Service Provider and other vendors; and coordination with the Executive Team to ensure alignment of ICT strategy with the organization’s overall long-term strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Prepare strategic and operational plans for the Information Communications Technology (ICT) department to ensure that all necessary ICT tools, processes and systems are in place to meet the requirements of the business and contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term goals of the Company.
  • Manage SharePoint development, utilization and improvement.
  • Manage and provide oversight for the implementation of an ICT security strategy and disaster recovery plan that minimizes the risk of data loss and breach of privacy of the Corporation’s information and that of its Prime Contractor and other managing agents.
  • Ensure development, implementation and maintenance of all policies related to ICT services, including equipment/license distribution and asset management.
  • Develop and manage the planning and budgeting for the Corporation’s ICT services to ensure that resources are used to provide best in class ICT services that are in line with organizational growth.
  • Develop sourcing strategy to ensure appropriate procedures are in place to select equipment and services vendors.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology infrastructure in line with Company growth plans and changing business requirements or technological advancements.
  • Provide methods, tools and procedures for data integrity assurance and guarantee a daily operation.
  • Ensure ICT systems comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Exercise control and monitoring of corporate ICT projects progress.
  • Oversee ICT special projects, including planning, scheduling, managing and progress reporting for new system implementations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the quality and cost efficiency of the ICT Services.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expert Site Administrator-level knowledge of SharePoint (SharePoint certifications and credentials a plus)

PYXERA Global is seeking a Director of Human Resources (HR) who can support the organization in meeting its mission. The Director of HR is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.   

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters. 
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance. 
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of our growing Global Pro Bono division to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation. On-the-job training will be provided, and opportunities for professional development and learning are available. 

The primary job focus of the Associate position is to:  
  • Provide assistance to program staff to develop performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation;  
  • Create monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, processes, and tools; and 
  • Contribute to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results.   
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Supporting staff members in setting up logical frameworks and stakeholder assessments

Global Positions

PYXERA Global, a non-profit based in Washington, D.C., will be implementing a global pro bono program in San Juan, Puerto Rico with SAP. The program is scheduled to take place February 3 through March 1, 2019, and PYXERA Global is seeking university students, recent graduates, or professional translators currently residing in San Juan to provide interpretation/program support services for the team of corporate volunteers staying in San Juan. The main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

  • Sequential Interpretation or written translation during the program (February 3 through March 1, 2019) during regular working hours (set by each office and team).
  • Conduct country specific research as needed to support the consultants.
  • Coordination of program activities with PYXERA Global Staff, both local and HQ.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to a team of three (3) SAP employees from different countries for the duration of the assignment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work with cross-cultural teams
  • Native Spanish speaker, with excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Ability to quickly translate from Spanish to English, and English to Spanish

PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time consultant currently residing in Singapore to help with program design and provide project and logistical support to a selected team of corporate volunteers who will provide pro-bono consulting services to local non-profits and social enterprises. The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

  • Review and validate PYXERA Global list of potential social organizations in Singapore and identify new ones that could be contacted during the outreach phase;
  • Participate in scoping trip meetings week with selected organizations in January 2019;
  • Complete the scoping trip scorecard, and select with PYXERA Global social organizations to participate in the pro-bono engagements in February/March 2019;
  • Match assigned pro-bono consultants to projects;
  • Co-lead with PYXERA Global staff three preparation conference calls with group of pro-bono consultants;
  • Be the principal PYXERA Global contact with stakeholders throughout project preparation and implementation;
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Welcome and Final Workshops for pro-bono consultants and participating social organizations in April 2019, respectively;
  • Correspond with PYXERA Global headquarters program staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the pro-bono consultants and social organization partners;

  • College degree in international relations, communications, project management, organizational development, NGO management, or related field
