Current Positions

SUMMARY

PYXERA Global is seeking an attentive, organized, and motivated Communications and Marketing Intern to work 40 hours per week in our Washington, DC office. This intern will gain experience in design, marketing, and global programming alongside the personable and knowledgeable Public Affairs & Programs teams. The intern will support in the development of communications materials and multimedia products that are attractive, consistent, well written, and propel interest and action. The opportunity will build his or her marketing and communications skills through hands on experience with many different areas of the organization. The ideal candidate is a media and digital enthusiast, with exceptional writing and design skills, a strong interest and background in impact communications, and demonstrated curiosity and/or experience in international affairs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
  • Support in the development and design of digital, web, and print marketing materials;
  • Presentation and report development and design , including Prezi and PowerPoint;
  • Copywriting and editing, including developing original content under direction and editing from multiple contributors;
  • Utilizing online metrics tools to report on statistics for websites, social media sites, email campaigns and online advertising;
  • Provide both technical and editorial website support, updating content, and publishing news stories; 
  • Community management on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Has or is working towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in communications, international relations, economic development, business, or related field with at least 6 months of relevant experience. Desired skills include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) skills;Excellent Microsoft Office skills;
  • Strong grasp of social media management and campaign development;
  • Experience with WordPress or web maintenance preferred;
  • Understanding of web marketing and Google analytics;
  • Strong writing and editing skills;
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new technology quickly;
  • Experience with Prezi a plus;
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro or equivalent video editing a plus;

PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, DC will be managing a Global Pro Bono program in Bangkok, Thailand, scheduled to take place in May of 2017. PYXERA Global would like to hire a part time seasoned consultant currently residing in Bangkok, Thailand to help with program management and provide project and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees that will work on health development projects. The consulting period will take place between January through June 2017 with a possibility of extension based on additional corporate programs.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

  • Identify and select potential clients and develop Scopes of Work for the program that are aligned with specific areas of intervention identified by PYXERA Global and/or our client(s);
  • Capture and share success stories and lessons learned that strengthen PYXERA Global’s existing and planned programs with organizations, partners, and stakeholders through social media and other avenues as appropriate;
  • Orient new program participants upon arrival in Thailand;
  • Serve as logistics coordinator and as an informational resource for Volunteers and troubleshoot problems they may face;
  • Recruit and hire Project Assistants (If applicable) to support corporate consultants with translation, research and interviews;
  • Participate in weekly preparation phone calls with corporate team(s) as needed;

PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, DC will be managing two Global Pro Bono programs around Hanoi and Hai Phong, Vietnam scheduled to take place from March through November, 2017. PYXERA Global is hiring an experienced consultant currently residing in Hanoi or Hai Phong to help with overall program management, and provide project and logistical support to the selected teams of corporate consultants.  One of the programs will take place over the course of two weeks in Hanoi exclusively; and the other will be a combination of weekly virtual consulting assignments and two one-week stays in Hanoi and/or Hai Phong over the course of 5-6 months.  Both programs will have several teams paired with local organizations in Hanoi and Hai Phong.  This position would be involved with all aspects of the project.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, DC, will manage an international corporate volunteer consulting project in Hong Kong, scheduled for June 26 – July 14, 2017. PYXERA Global seeks a local consultant currently residing in Hong Kong to help provide project management and logistical support to the team of 16 corporate volunteers matched to skills-based consulting projects that build the organizational capacity of four local non-profit organizations. English proficiency is required. This is a paid position and rates are based on past salary history along with current market rates.

PYXERA Global is looking for a consultant with excellent knowledge of Hong Kong and with project experience and a professional network related to community development, urban revitalization, workforce readiness, financial capability, and related economic development sectors.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

  • Help to develop scopes of work (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of intervention requested by local host organizations (mostly nonprofits and community development social enterprises)
  • Support local host organizations in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers, ensuring stakeholder meetings are arranged
  • Participate in conference calls with corporate volunteers in advance of their arrival in Hong Kong
  • Support corporate volunteers, providing advice and guidance around scope of work delivery
  • Act as the on-the-ground interface between PYXERA Global and partners in Hong Kong, including regular correspondence with PYXERA Global HQ staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the volunteers and partners
  • Participate in regular meetings with corporate volunteers, as requested

LOGISTICS

  • Assist in procuring accommodations and transportation for volunteers in Hong Kong
  • Coordinate the kick-off and closing event(s) for volunteer groups and host organizations
  • Prepare Hong Kong-related guides and suggestions for team orientation packets
  • Orient new corporate volunteers upon arrival in Hong Kong
  • Manage assignment, work, and project travel logistics for volunteers while they are in Hong Kong

JOB SUMMARY 

The M&E Intern will support the program performance management frameworks as well as specific program M&E activities to ensure the quality, and effectiveness of our program implementation.  The intern will provide assistance to the program staff in developing results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating M&E processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results.  The opportunity will help build his or her program performance measurement skills through exposure to a variety program and business development activities. This is a paid internship with $12 per hour provided with a possibility of a subsequent hire.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support staff members in setting up systems for program M&E;
  • Assist with the design and development of questionnaires for data collection and analysis;
  • Assist with data collection, aggregation and analysis;
  • Assist with research and writing or editing;
  • Assist with data management and cleaning, as well as quality control;
  • Support the team through various administrative duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A relevant college degree required
