Washington D.C. - HQ Positions

PYXERA Global is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) to lead the anticipated USAID Innovation Based Economy Program in Belarus.

The COP will have 10 years of demonstrated technical expertise in economic growth and development, proven experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure sustainability and alignment with strategic objectives, and agile leadership in navigating complex and dynamic sociopolitical environments through all stages of the project pipeline—from designing a sustainable, multi-sectoral strategy to managing implementation to monitoring and evaluating outcomes for quality and compliance. The position will provide overall leadership management and general technical direction for the program, ensuring a coherent vision is developed and innovative strategies are implemented across program activities.

KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field;
· Minimum of 10 years of experience designing, leading, and implementing complex international development projects;
· 5 years of prior successful experience managing—in a Chief of Party, Project Director, or similar position—USAID or other donor-supported development projects;

PYXERA Global seeks a highly motivated candidate to work 20-40 hours per week as a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Intern at our office in Washington, DC. The Intern will work with PYXERA Global’s M&E, which supports organizational divisions that build resilient businesses and entrepreneurial ecosystems through Global Pro Bono work and community driven solutions.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of PYXERA Global to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation.

The ideal candidate will have international development experience, thrives in a fast-paced office environment, and has the academic preparation and/or skills in quantitative analysis and impact measurement. POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator plays a key technical and management role in the monitoring, evaluation, analytical, and knowledge management needs of our growing program divisions to ensure quality and effectiveness of program implementation. Training in the field of Global Pro Bono and PYXERA Global’s M&E methodology will be provided, but candidates are expected to come equipped with previously acquired M&E competencies. • Provide technical support to program staff to develop performance monitoring plans and results frameworks during program design and implementation;

Global Positions

PYXERA Global, an NGO based in Washington, D.C., will be managing an international corporate volunteer (global pro bono) program based in San Juan & Ponce, Puerto Rico, scheduled to take place in July-August of 2020. PYXERA Global is hiring a consultant currently residing in/around San Juan to provide project and logistical support to the selected team of corporate participants. The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

KEY ACTIVITIES

Project Development and Implementation:
• Participate in conference calls with Washington-DC based team
• Conduct in-person, relationship-building meetings with key stakeholders who are employed by or affiliated with local health care partners based in and around San Juan & Ponce, Puerto Rico
• Conduct additional meetings, as needed, with key stakeholders to outline program requirements and objectives

PYXERA Global would like to hire a part-time local consultant currently residing in Halifax to provide project management and logistical support to the selected team of corporate employees who will provide pro bono consulting services to local nonprofits and social enterprises.
The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

• Identify and select potential host client organizations and help to develop Scopes of Work (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of intervention requested by local host client organizations (mostly nonprofits and social enterprises);
• Support local host organizations in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers and ensure that stakeholder meetings are arranged;

This is a paid position and rates are based on salary requirements along with current market rates.

PYXERA Global, a non-profit based in Washington, D.C., will be implementing a Global Pro Bono program in Lima, Perú with 3M. The program is scheduled to take place from February 24th to March 5th 2020 and PYXERA Global is seeking university students, recent graduates, or professional translators currently residing in Lima city to provide interpretation/program support services for the team of international corporate volunteers staying in Lima.

The main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

ACTIVITIES

• Sequential Interpretation or written translation during the program (Feb 24th – March 5th) during 8 regular working hours from Monday to Saturday (set by each office and team).
• Conduct country specific research as needed to support the consultants.
• Coordination of program activities with PYXERA Global Staff, both local and HQ.
• Act as a cultural ambassador to a team of four (4) 3M employees from different countries for the duration of the assignment.

The selected consultant’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

  • Identify and select potential clients and help to develop scopes of work (SOWs) reflecting the specific areas of intervention requested by local host organizations (mostly nonprofits, community development social enterprises, and government entities)
  • Support local host organizations in preparing for arrival of corporate volunteers, ensuring stakeholder meetings are arranged
  • Participate in six preparatory conference calls with corporate volunteers in advance of their arrival in Buenos Aires
  • Support corporate volunteers, providing advice and guidance around scope of work delivery
  • Act as the on-the-ground interface between PYXERA Global and its partners in Buenos Aires, including regular correspondence with PYXERA Global HQ staff and other stakeholders to assure satisfaction on the part of the volunteers and partners
  • Participate in meetings with corporate volunteers, as requested
  • Prepare financial and final program reports

LOGISTICS

  • Assist in procuring accommodations and transportation in Buenos Aires
  • Coordinate the kick-off and closing event(s) for volunteer groups and host organizations
  • Provide information and suggestions for Buenos Aires guides and act as a resource for corporate volunteers to prepare for their travel to Buenos Aires
  • Orient new corporate volunteers upon arrival in Buenos Aires
