Pyxera Global Launches AI for Impact: A New Corporate Engagement Program

Six-week cross-company initiative gives employees real-world AI experience while strengthening nonprofit capacity

Pyxera Global will launch AI for Impact in January 2026, a six-week virtual skills-based volunteering program designed for companies seeking to build employee expertise in responsible AI. The initiative connects 15-20 professionals from multiple corporations with U.S.-based nonprofits to co-design practical AI solutions that address real-world challenges.

Addressing Critical Market Need

Most nonprofits are exploring AI, but face barriers to implementation—only one in four have a strategy in place. And larger nonprofits (with revenue over $1M) adopt AI at nearly twice the rate of smaller organizations, creating a digital divide. This creates a clear opportunity for companies: by engaging through AI for Impact, employees apply their skills in new contexts while shaping how AI can deliver value in communities.

“AI has the power to transform society, but there’s a readiness gap,” said Gavin Cepelak, Executive Vice President at Pyxera Global. “Nonprofits are being asked to solve urgent, complex problems with fewer resources than ever. The tool that could transform their impact, AI, often feels out of reach. That’s why Pyxera Global is launching AI for Impact.”

This program will connect corporate AI expertise with nonprofits to build capacity, strengthen community readiness, and give employees firsthand experience with AI’s potential for social impact.

Strategic Value for Corporations

AI for Impact delivers multiple benefits for corporate partners:

  • Strengthen innovation insight: Exposure to nonprofit and community contexts sparks new ideas for AI use cases
  • Develop future-ready leaders: Employees gain direct experience applying AI in complex, real-world settings
  • Reduce risk: Pilot AI approaches before scaling them commercially
  • Engage with purpose: Create measurable business and social value through cross-sector collaboration

The fully virtual program requires 3-4 hours weekly per participant. Over six weeks, employees produce AI readiness assessments, governance frameworks, and implementation strategies alongside nonprofit partners.

Program Details:

  • Dates: January 20 – February 27, 2026
  • Commitment Deadline: December 1, 2025
  • Target: Mid- to senior-level employees with AI knowledge
